The Sanyo Internet Radio R227 makes waves, and the cool thing about the Internet Radio is you don’t need a subscription, or a computer, it turns off and on very easily, has broadband connection, it has it’s own radio and you can listen to music by Genre or country.

Sanyo R227 Internet radio coming to the US

Sanyo’s R227 Internet radio, announced to ship at the end of October in Canada, will soon be available for US customers, as announced by the company. The R227 connects to the Internet via its Wi-Fi module or a wired Ethernet connection and allows users to search for Internet radio stations from around the world by country or genre. There are no fees associated with accessing the stations. The R227 can access secured wireless networks via a key entry interface.

Sanyo introduces three new navigation devices

Sanyo on Wednesday announced it will soon launch a trio of advanced in-car entertainment and portable GPS devices, including the 7-inch Gorilla NVA-GS1580FT that doubles as a car entertainment center and the portable 7-inch NV-SD750FT, as well as the 5.2-inch NV-SB510DT. The first two use 4GB solid-state drives as well as a dual 12Seg/1Seg TV tuner built-in to catch live broadcasts in the company’s native Japan. Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD700

Sanyo’s hybrid Xacti design has been around for a while, but it’s getting better all the time.

This version has a 7 mega pixel sensor which can generate 720p HD footage and 7MP stills. It’s the only one of this bunch to that could really replace the digital camera. In the world of camcorders its 5x zoom range isn’t much to write home about, of course, but if you can live with that you’ll find it has a lot offer.

First impression of the HD700 is resoundingly positive. It ‘s extreme small and light but feels very well made- you could sling it in a holiday pack and not worry about it getting squashed by your guide book.

The Sanyo costs around £70/$140 more than Panasonic, but apart from the smaller zoom range, its miles better. It’s much more pocketable than the HD Samsung and a fraction of the price of the Samsung so over all a really good buy
