The newly awaited iPhone operating system which is for the iPhone, iPhone 3G and the iPod touch has just been unveiled at Apple’s conference today.
iPhone 3.0 OS New Features
So what’s new in the latest 3.0 operating system, well there are over a 100 new features which is pretty darn amazing don’t you think, I mean we all knew that it was going to be big but no this big and at last COPY & PASTE! FINALLY
• Copy & Paste. You will be able to double-tap over text, and will get a “cut, copy, and paste” bubble dialog. Double-tapping again and a “paste” bubble will appear if there’s anything stored in your clipboard, which is great as we have waited long enough haven’t we!
This copy & paste feature will work across lots of applications and don’t worry if you paste something by mistake you can just shake the iPhone to erase what you just pasted, cool hu!

• Copy & Paste photos. Not only can you copy & paste text you will now also be able to copy and paste photos in the latest software update. You will be able to browse through your photo album and select multiple photos by tapping the action button, copy some of them and paste them in an email, ready to send.

There’s loads of rumors flying around the net today that apple could be making a new app store dedicated to premium high priced apps only. Now I do have to stress these are just rumors, none of the developers out there could confirm this.
But thats think about this for just a minute, do we really want a high priced premium app store sure there are the benifits that the apps could be like full length games just downsized for the iPhone which would be great would’nt it.
Just imange your on the train and you could get a few rounds of COD (Call of Duty) in whilst travling would’nt that be just amazing but then the gates are open for apps to be charged like the games for a Sony PSP or Nintendo DS which I dont think i could justify to be totally honest, but hey like i said they are just rumors at the moment so we will just have to sit back and see what happens wont we.

Lets review the most talked about gadget recently, yes that’s right the iPod shuffle. The main claim of the new Shuffle is that it is the smallest MP3 player in the world measuring 27.3 x 41.2 x 10.5mm and a lightweight 15.5 grams. the iPod shuffle still lacks any form of screen.

A switch on the bottom of the unit allows you to toggle between playing songs sequentially and in random order. The 1gb shuffle can hold around 240 tracks either downloaded from iTunes or ripped from CD into either ACC or MP3 format. It comes in various colors-Silver, blue, purple, green, red. So go with the color you want.

The shuffle’s non-removable lithium polymer battery receives a full charge (via USB) in about 4 hours and has an estimated playback time of up to 12 hours.

Dan Kaminsky of IOActive reported vulnerabilities in Bonjour (for Windows) in July, on Tuesday Apple released Bonjour 1.0.5 that includes a patch to fix these vulnerabilities, these releases included a patch for the iPod touch. You will find the new patches within iTunes 8.0 and by accessing the (patch) download from Apple Software Downloads.

mDNSResponder 1
This Patch is for Windows Vista, XP SP2, SP3, 2003, and 2000 (which were directly affected). Apparently the patch is in refernece to CVE-2008-2326 - it is a null pointer reference issue. Apple says that patch will fix the problem with the Bonjour Namespace Providers, some crashes and premature application termination were triggered by the maliciously crafted “.local” domain names which deliberately used a long DNS label. The issue has not affected systems using the Mac OS X.
mDNSResponder 2
This patch is for Windows Vista, XP SP2, SP3, 2003, and 2000. Apparently this patch and update is in accordance and for a vulnerability which was detailed within CVE-2008-3635.
