Mini Hydro Clock

The Mini Hydro Clock and as shown on Youtube some call it a Water Clock because essentially that’s what it is and it would be a great way to tell time, if you don’t want to use batteries. Using batteries as less as possible is really the best Eco-friendly solution possible for a clock, and this clock is just that, Eco-friendly. The Mini Hydro uses liquids to keep it going, and you can use Beer, Juice, Milk or water. I would prefer water because of spoilages. I think it’s pretty neat to take out camping because it is rather small, and although there is no alarm on it and it’s basic function is to tell the time. Since you never have to worry about batteries, this clock is a great idea because if there is a power outage, this would be the clock to depend on. It’s so small you wouldn’t notice it so much so you could just put it in any corner of a desk and any other convenient spot in your home. This clock is only 1†by 2 inches and you can read the instructions that comes with the clock if you need it. This device is available for purchase at Scientifics Online.com for a low-low price of $7.95 and that’s not bad for a good clock that will last you unlike some clocks today, you buy them today and your back in the store next week asking for a refund because it doesn’t work anymore. This clock’s charge would last you for about 1 month with no power at all. I’m falling in love with Eco-friendly inventions and it’s so conveniently cheap to be Eco-friendly.

Daylight Solar Lamp

The Daylight Solar Lamp is what I’ve been searching for every since the outdoor solar lights had been invented. The Daylight Lamp is basically a normal light that glows and is designed in the fashion of a normal looking lamp at night time and during the day, all you need to do is make sure it gets charged up, because the solar panel has to be exposed to the sunlight for the lamp to charge properly. They are designed for indoor as well as outdoor, but the only difference is that you don’t have to worry about wiring, because there are no wires needed to operate this, also you don’t have to worry about batteries because it runs by pure solar power. When it’s charging, you flip it upside down and it will look like pottery or something similar to that look and luckily never have to change a light bulb. This lamp is very cool because during a natural disaster or if you wanted to save on energy costs than this lamp is for you. With it’s great design and appeal you will enjoy that fact that it’s larger than a night light because it is 34cm and 15.5cm wide, and depending on how long you let this device charge will depend on your use of solar energy available. They come in great colors like; green, white and orange and it is also waterproof. It’s going to cost you a pretty penny but once you start saving energy, then I would say it’s a penny well spent. The Lamps are available for purchase for only $80.50 at Made in Design.com

San Francisco plan to spend one billion dollars for 250.000 charging stations and 200 battery swap stations, and this project will be completed by 2012.
