New Apple iPod Nano

The new iPod Nanos from apple are the latest addition to Apple’s ever growing family, unlike its predecessor this 6th generation iPod has had a complete face lift from its début look in 2005. I must say this new iPod Nano looks pretty sweet, it kinda makes me thinks it’s what an electronic stamp would look like with a very crisp touchscreen. Along with this new touch screen comes simplicity with just a 4 options interface to choose from, it couldn’t get much simpler than that now could it. Along with the great new looks and interface apple have added a brand new operating system on it to allow its full features to run trouble and problem free.

Going back to my “stamp” thought is the size of this great little device and I’m not 100% sure it’s the smallest mp3 player out there but i think it’s safe to say it’s certainly the smallest fully loaded and stylish looking mp3 player ever! With this tiny player only measuring 1.54″ with a 240×240 LCD touch screen. Turn it over and you will find a very useful clip to fix anywhere safe and securely. The cases that protect the precious insides are still the signature anodized brightly coloured shells that we have become accustomed to. Gone are the times of control buttons, this new version has no physical buttons when it comes to changing tracks, play, stop and pause…the famous clickwheel has been retired! There are still the on/off/lock & volume up and down but we can forgive apple on that one as this really does make things so much easier when compared to the last Nano.

Now it make look great and have some new fancy operating system but the big make or break question is, what is the sound quality like? Well I think you can already guess as it is from apple and although they can be stubborn at times that be we won’t going into that right now they do know what their do when it comes to sound. So to answer that big question, the sound has noticeable improved compared to the old version.

To sum up the new iPod Nano it’s a great bit of tech that not only packs a fierce punch in the mp3 world but it’s also very stylish and dare I say it…fashionable, with its slim size and great sound quality without the old buttons this really is a great mp3 player for anyone that’s on the move and wants to pass the time away listing to their classics!
