Mir:ror reader harnesses RFID tech to create interactive object reality

Tagged Under : ,

Now that biometric and RFID chips are set to be embedded in all of our Orwellian state ID cards, you might as well put the technology to good personal use with the Mir:ror device and Ztamps from France-based Violet. Simply attach the preprogrammed RFID enabled Ztamps to any number of objects, and when you show the objects to the Mir:ror reader connected via USB to your computer (Mac or PC) the magic begins.

A few interesting uses for the device include household appliances being automatically connected to a corresponding manufacturer support website or paper books given automatic Internet links to a corresponding publisher website or video containing additional information. You can pick up the Mir:ror for just 36 pounds ($67.73).
